Our Beginning
Founded in 1997 with a vision
What began as a humble classroom of 60 students in Shire has blossomed into one of the most respected schools in the Tigray region. Today, Bethel Shire Academy serves more than 2,160 learners from Grade 1 through Grade 8.
Our founder envisioned an academy where discipline meets curiosity — where each child is given the tools, attention, and inspiration to become a leader. That vision has shaped every classroom, every teacher, and every alumnus who has walked through our gates.
